Just wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions or work arounds for this issue. I have a customer with an IM 370 that uses batch scanning to a network folder. The copier itself will only hold about 120 pages (give or take) in its reserved memory before running out and pausing the current scan job. According to what I've read, there is no way to expand that memory (only fax memory if I read correctly). This customer also uses "batch scanning" due to the ADF capacity limitation. I've also installed the WIA driver for Windows. While that does seem to no longer use the copiers memory for temp scan storing, I lose the ability to batch scan for larger jobs. I understand that getting a bigger machine in this one's place may be the best route to go but I thought I would ask somewhere before we take that direction. Thank you for any and all suggestions.
I think your suggestion is spot on. That machine isn't intended for that volume of scanning/use. Either a bigger machine or a desktop scanner may be needed. Or Have then Merge the PDF Files. Google Suggest there are free services for this.
It does have the 256GB SSD but that isn't available to use as que memory for scanning. Not to my understanding. I would love to be completely wrong on that though.

I agree. Just thought I'd get opinions. Thank you.

WIA is a pull scan and as such does not use device memory and by itself cannot do batch scanning. There are however software that will allow it to do so. Here is what I found searching "can WIA do batch scanning" with Bing
"While WIA itself does not have a built-in feature for batch scanning, it can be integrated with third-party software that offers batch scanning capabilities. For example, VueScan, a software designed to work with a wide range of scanners, supports batch scanning and offers advanced features such as rearranging multipage PDFs and better image compression. If you have a WIA driver installed, you can use it with VueScan to perform batch scanning tasks. "
It can also be used with TWAIN drivers. Ricoh is supported.
