So i work to a guy that has 2 companys 1 is making service to ricoh machines and the other is selling oem and compatible parts and toners, and went to servive a MPC 3503 and he gave me a compatible drum cmy, when i tried to install it the development unit was hanging in the air, i mean..... it was funny but anyways, what really catch my eye was that the old drum has a metallic axis going inside the drum and a metallic gear while the new compatible drum has a plastic gear and no axis, are those drums for another model? like mpc 4504? or something else?
This drum ("...drum has a plastic gear and no axis") can only be used with a compatible drum unit. There are drums which can be used with original units and they do not have a gear.

You too?...we used those types of drums for a while. Besides the difference you noticed, several of them arrived defective. After a while, they started causing problems with scratches. A waste of money. We also had 3004 drums in the box labeled 3003, which obviously don't match the development unit. If you really want compatible ones, I recommend the Pro-Parts ones. They're a little less crappy; they're the ones with the blue cylinder.
The gold ones are the worst, total rubbish.
With the correct kit you remove the metal shaft from the old OEM drum & fit it into the compatible kit drum.
Actually it wasnt a kit it was a whole drum unit, and the thing is that the plastic that locks the developer unit in front of the drum it was bigger then the old drum unit and at least 1,5cm longer so the developer couldn t lock it was hanging in the air.

Here in Milano, we buy them from one of our suppliers, I don't know where they get that brand, also because I tried to look for it, but it seems (maybe I'm wrong) that they don't have their own website, they're not that great, but certainly better than the gold ones, you can't even clean those with a rag because the coating comes off, in fact now we are replacing the last 3003 with the 3004 and new models whose original Ricoh drums cost much less, and we are using original PCUs

They will be from the factory: color image, they give decent cylinders
