1000151034.jpg This 3070L is having image issues on the yellow channel. I've switched out the corona wire already and cleaned the glass. My thoughts would be to swap out the drum. But the strange pixelated nature of the printing makes me wonder if it is some other component.
can you change the pattern to dot 1/2 or line 1/2 to see if it changes? ( if it works like a c6500) just to see if the pattern is made in processing not development/transfer/fusing
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
The medication helps though...

Hmm, how would I do that? Is that under the admin menu?
You can swap drums around for testing. You can also swap the developer units from on channel to another just to see if problem follows the developer unit. Just make sure to tape the hole on developer unit where the toner goes in and open the toner door so machine doesn't try to add toner. When I try this I boot straight in to service mode to prevent machine from running any adjustments. Just only run one or two test prints.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
I switched the drums and nothing changed. I'm guessing the developer is the issue then. Even though it is only at one third rated runtime. Granted, we do print alot of yellow so idk how accurate the counter really is.
swap yellow dev unit with magenta . just tape the the toner inlet port on each unit open toner bottle door and only run only a couple a couple of test prints at the most. If when you run a test print for the magenta channel , which is now yellow, and it still looks bad then you know its the yellow dev unit. However if it looks good and you run a test print for the yellow channel, which is now magenta, and it looks bad then you have something going on in the yellow channel .
You also need to make sure the yellow transfer roller is seated correctly in its holders
So funny story... Turns out the yellow image i was printing was just corrupted. Meaning the yellow channel was a false flag. Seems like something that'd happen to me haha. Anyway, blackcat graciously shared some proper color tests and I believe I'm getting closer. Here are some examples of the strange fading happening.
What I see is a black developing issue. Possibly aftermarket toner, over-life developer or over-life developing unit.
(These images help me a lot. I've been reading quality from these charts for a long time.)

Only using genuine KM toner. I just replaced the developer. things are looking much better. 1000152495.jpg1000152494.jpg

All I can tell you is that it happens occasionally, and not in any predictable way.
