Fentanyl Crisis: Cartels Exploit Southern Border | National Review
As bad as it sounds, it's not to the best interest for this government completely stop drug importation, the money need's to continue to flow south, otherwise our Mexican friend's would fall into a depressed state, which it wouldn't be in the best interest. We can't have Mejico go into a depression, the government would lose control, our borders are bad now, they would be controllable if it reached that state. Billions flow in the Mexican economy, and that is besides the money that people here illegally send back home to help their families. Billions! Not million's. Oh, did I mention that in Mexico you cannot own a gun, only the bad people own guns, the law abiding citizen's cannot. Who run's the town's, city's, the country side's, the bad people that have the guns. Sad but true.

The Mexican government has not been control of most of the country for over two decades.
Is America's immigration crisis causing the fentanyl epidemic? | Washington Examiner
Well not in my mine, it's tied to illegals, but the open border situation is to blame.
The illegals in a small part transported some of the drugs but for the most part no.
The illegal drug pushers are going after our children with pills that look like candy.
'Rainbow fentanyl' found in several states across the country – drugs resemble candy and 'seem to be marketed specifically to a younger age group' - TheBlaze
