I have an old Samsung SCX-6345N that worked well for me until eventually the power supply failed because of bad caps.
After changing them it's working again but the machine hangs at startup with the following error message on the display:

System fault:0, file
VICmdMgr_OptionGlobalEncoder.c, line 1025, Task
VIEN

Not giving up so easily I thought maybe somehow the firmware got corrupted by the power failure and wanted to try an update.
So I fetched the firmware from HP but luckily searched the forum and learned that too big a version jump will kill the machine.

Checked the firmware via SyncThru and of course it is ancient:

I then searched the net for the bootrom patch file or an older firmware but came up with nothing.

Am I even correct that this could fix the problem and if so, could anyone share the required file(s) or point me in the right direction where to find them?

If not, what else can I try?
